haha when i asked for these forums it was because i did some research into hit cap for druids and wanted to post the info ~
so with blizzard taking away the 99% hit cap, as cloud said it's now 17%.
3% from spriest's misery (which increases their dps).
3% from moonkin's IFF (which is bad for me to have to spec into).
for all intensive purposes, you can really only count on misery and your class-specific +hit talents since spec'n IFF takes giving up a lot comparatively with other talents and in dps. as i'm a druid, i'll be knocking those numbers. we get 4% from talents.
this effectively takes the 17%-7%=10% needed in gear. 26*0.1 = 260 hit rating.
this can be obtained pre-raids with a few select pieces:

with those items, puts you at 264 hit rating. there are other options but at least this least shows that it's entirely possible and should be expected, if not already, soon in raids of all the caster dps. there are some sweet +hit pieces early nax as well (trinket, etc). hit rocks all other stats until its capped. at least picking up the easily obtainable retarded high hit items would be worth it while your gear is in transition phases to always have hit capped (the 73 hit trinket and the 51 hit ring).
